Immigration – changes to the guidance under the Tier 2 category of the Points Based System

Clearly, these changes will impact upon the way in which companies can recruit and transfer staff to the UK. We would therefore recommend that:

• anyone involved in the recruitment of staff and issuing of Certificate of Sponsorship is made aware of the changes so that strategies can be put in place to manage the impact on project timescales caused by the necessary increased period of advertising
• companies consider any potential international assignments now in order that applications can be submitted in advance of the rule change if necessary.
