Life at Wragge & Co

Life outside the law

We prefer to make the best use of your time, although you will have to work hard we do believe you should have a life outside the law. Then you can enjoy an active and healthy social life outside work, which we believe is very important. Also, social events are good way of getting to know people, making friends with other trainees and bonding with your team.

Before you join us

We'll keep in touch with you through our newsletters, emails, phone calls and invite you into the office before you join us.   You will also get the opportunity to visit our offices and attend the Wragge & Co Annual Party, held at the ICC in Birmingham – a great opportunity to meet current and future trainees and make new friends.

After you join us

On social life, think sport; think dinners - big and small; think nights out, all organised by the trainee committee and the local Law Society.  The trainees also take a lead role in organising the Wragge & Co City Challenge, a competition that tests the physical and mental strength of teams from local businesses to raise money for charity.  Our trainee committee also organises regular trainee social events, drinks and dinners that are subsidised by the firm and trips to many different places, from a day at Alton Towers and cricket at Edgbaston, to surf trips in South Wales and skiing. Through our social club we offer subsidised tickets for weekend breaks, theatre, cinema, concerts and ad hoc events at the NEC and NIA.

We also have several sports teams organised by trainees, including football, rugby, softball, basketball, cricket, hockey and netball, with weekly matches against clients and other firms. And you can get actively involved in some of our organised sponsored charity events

It's well worth joining the Birmingham Trainee Solicitors Society (BTSS) who have their own social and sporting events, such as the summer and winter balls.

With all this going on, we haven't got time to stand still and neither will you.
