Wragge & Co named one of UK's best family-friendly employers
28.05.09
Wragge & Co LLP has been named one of the UK's top employers for working families by work-life balance charity Working Families. The inaugural list of the 20 best family-friendly employers from the last three decades aims to highlight employers whose initiative and example has encouraged positive change for working families.
Director of Human Resources Linda Bellis said: "Wragge & Co has always aimed to create a workplace where working arrangements work for individual employees as well as the business as a whole. Our bespoke working policy, family benefits including childcare vouchers and non-pay benefits such as the travel loan scheme are all ways we are working to create a balanced work-life environment. To be recognised as a leading employer for working families is a great honour."
The list has been published in conjunction with the UK's first ever National Family Week (25-31 May). Selected by an expert panel of judges, winners were chosen as leading employers in areas such as flexible working, childcare provision, maternity and/or paternity policy and help with eldercare responsibilities.
Working families is a campaigning organisation aiming to find a balance between responsibilities at home and work. The charity supports and gives a voice to working parents and carers while helping employers create workplaces which encourage work-life balance. As part of its campaign for family-friendly workplaces it has run the Working Families Employers Awards for the past 19 years.
Wragge & Co is a top 25 UK commercial law firm advising international blue-chip companies and major public sector organisations on a full range of legal issues. The firm employs 1,100 people in offices in Birmingham, London, Brussels, Guangzhou and Munich.
