Wragge & Co wins Ashridge Business School as new pensions client
09.10.07
Wragge & Co LLP Pensions Team has been appointed to advise the trustees of the pension scheme of one of the UK's top business schools. The trustees of the Ashridge Pension Scheme have named Wragge & Co as their exclusive pensions law adviser.
Pensions partner Jason Coates and associate Sara Hughes will lead the team advising Ashridge on a full range of pensions law issues. The team will work closely with Trevor Harvey, Ashridge's Director of Resources who is also a trustee and the scheme secretary of the pension scheme.
Jason Coates said: "Our approach is simple: One team of technically excellent lawyers providing commercially focused, creative advice to clients in a manner that suits each client. We are interested in our clients and in achieving the best result for them. This comes through when we pitch and when we work together. We look forward to building that relationship with Ashridge."
Trevor Harvey said: "The Ashridge trustees had the choice of working with a number of very able firms of lawyers. They were particularly impressed, however, with the people Wragge & Co put forward with whom we might work; straightforward and to the point. We felt these were capable individuals who were on our wavelength in a field notorious for its potential complexities."
A leading international business school, Ashridge works with individuals and organisations from around the world in its three core areas of executive education, research and consulting. It is ranked number one in the UK for tailored executive education in the 2007 Financial Times rankings.
The trustees of the Ashridge scheme are the latest to choose Wragge & Co's Pensions Team. In the past 12 months the trustees of two AMEC schemes and Britannia Building Society Pension Scheme have also appointed the team.
Wragge & Co's six-partner pensions practice operates as a single team of experts advising employers, trustees and institutional clients on a full range of non-contentious and contentious pensions issues. The national team is widely recognised as one of the UK's top-tier pensions practices. Its clients include EMAP, Philips Pensions Trustees Limited and Steria.
